This is our circuit, currently located in the cellar due to lack of space everywhere else. The circuit is built from scalextric classic and sport track.
The floor space available was the restricting factor in the circuit design, so I tried to get as much track in the space available. Although there aren’t too many long straights the track is built to give as close to even lap times as possible. The section with the pond is detachable for easy storage, and the whole circuit can be stood on its end when the space is required for other things.
The trees were bought from a model shop, using pan scourers and gluing them to the surface achieved the grass effect. The pond is made from fibreglass resin coloured blue.
The next step is for some buildings (the prize would solve this problem).
Future plans for expansion are to add some longer straights and to use the large
section as an in field complex.
