Track Design Competition: Jan Hogfeldt Pederson

Here is my track, named Ring Hørning Trælast. It´s a wooden routed track with 3 lanes. The bechwork is a L-girder frame, as common to modell railroaders. The track is 11 meters short, and placed in my garage, and a part of the tracks used in our Mini race Syndicate. The track itself is painted with normal gloss paint for indoor use. The track tape for power supply is copper tape from Pendle Slot. The Scenery is made from plaster gaze, over wrapped newspapers, then painted with colors from Heki. The grass is Blended turf from Woodlands senics. The small lake in the slow end of the track is made with E-Z water also from Woodlands. The brick wall paper is from Faller.

I have tried to keep the track in some kind of old Targa Florio style with open pits without pitwall, and rocks close to the track.

So far I´ve maneged to get a simple senery cover to the track, but there is a lot of plans of what to do. The next thing to be finished is the control tower/bridge that hides the lights for the lap counter. As the bridge is called Joey Dunlop memorial bridge it´s ofcourse going to be painted yellow with black stribes as his helmet was. The next thing is the some South Italian style house fronts, at the back straight. Grand stands on the pit roof will also come. And lots of figures are still missed. All parts of the track are named after my heroes on 2 and 4 wheels. More of the track can be seen on http://hjem.get2net.dk/Hoerning-Traelast/index.html.
