This is one of our club tracks that we use for race meetings.it took me 6 months and nearly 600 hours to build . most of the scenery was built using ideas from model railway books, the fences were made from the plastic edging that goes around the edge of computer tables (available from most joinerys) it saves a lot of money and is easy to shape using a heat gun. the rest of the scenery was made from styrene foam and plaster. the track itself is scalextric and is 33 metres in length it includes a pitstop that is operated by model railway point switches and a goodwood chicane which was modelled from photos on the internet. since the track is mainly used for race meetings trees were not used. i used a AFX timer with light switches to record times. business cards and stickers from motor spare shops were used for advertising and billboards, Mark.
