Brooklands Slot Racing Festival - Sunday August 16th 2009

Pendle Slot Racing, in association with the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, Scalextric, Airfix, MRRC & the NSCC

Set in the iconic surroundings of the birthplace of British motor sport & aviation there will be attractions for all the family. James May set to break Scalextric world record, try your hand at driving a Scalextric car up the historic test hill track or try to break the sound barrier with the slot car drag strip under the Concorde exhibit, or if that’s too fast & furious wander around the Scalextric & Airfix roadshows and try your hand at the Airfix kit building competition.

Wander around the NSCC swapmeet where a gathering of Europe's top traders will have a stunning array of Scalextric and slot car equipment from past & present available to buy, sell or swap. The Brooklands feature race will take place in the chequered flag room, where the world's top slot car builders and racers will gather for a prestigious race meeting for 1920s & 1930s replica Brooklands race cars, each built to exacting standards and raced on a specially built circuit for the day.
