At the end of the 1981 season, Team Würth-Zakspeed celebrated overall victory with their Ford Capri. Klaus Ludwig won 10 of the 14 races and became the undisputed champion. In 1982, the Capri was entered for 4 races, before being replaced by its successor, the Ford C100.
