This model is part of the Gaugemaster exclusive Le Mans Collection in which has been specially commissioned. While the 1966 race will be remembered for the victory by one of Fords 8 factory backed MkII cars, there was also 6 MkI GT40’s taking part in the event. One was this car No.63 entered by the US based team Scuderia Bear. Sadly this beautiful looking silver car was written off prior to the start in an accident with one of the Works Fords at Maison Blanc while being driven by Richard Holquist. This highly detailed slot car will appeal to both collectors of Le Mans cars and of Fords most successful race car.
