Penelope Pitlane Lotus 16 1958.
When Colin Chapman revealed his first Formula 1 car design it was stunning to behold, the smallest, lightest and smoothest. The ultimate front engined Formula 1 car was nicknamed the 'Mini-Vanwall'. Initially with 1.9 and 2.2 litre engines in 1959 finally with the 2.5 Coventry Climax FPF. The car proved fragile and was competing against the first of the rear engined Coopers using the same engines. Its only now, racing in historic events, has it become a winner.
The Lotus 16 1958 is available as a body only kit or a complete kit.
