The Maserati 250F entered Formula One between 1954-1960. Twenty six versions were made. This Maserati 250F was revised considerably for the 1956 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The new 250F chassis was built with a off-set prop-shafts, which allowed the driving position to be lowered, which improved the cars handling. Stirling Moss went onto win the race just ahead of a fast closing Juan Manuel Fangio.
