The latest Penelope Pitlane releases represent the 2 different versions of the Maserati 250F Streamliner from 1955 & 1956 seasons. There are minor variations to the body shells, windscreens & exhausts. The car prooved uncompetitive and was rarely used.
1955 - Gran Premio d'Italia 11/09/1955: No.36 Jean Behra 4 th
1955 - Gran Premio di Siracusa 23/10/1955: No.18 Harry Schell 5th
1956 - Grand Prix de l'A.C.F. 01/07/1956 used by Behra and Moss during practise sessions;did'nt start.
Choice of chassis kit largely depends on your requirements.
Complete kits will be supplied with Penelope Pitlane SMJ chassis - ideal for motorising the kit with a good level of performance.
Penelope Pitlane I-comp chassis is the racers choice, designed to accept Flat 6 or Boxer motors. If this is the option you require we recommend purchasing the body kit + chassis + running gear separately so that you can custom build the chassis to suit your racing requirements
